BJP chief holds strategy meeting in Lucknow for UP-2027 polls

News from Lucknow, the state Capital of Uttar Pradesh says that BJP National President Nitin Nabin held a series of meetings with leaders of NDA allies on Sunday the 5th of July 2026 with an eye focused on strengthening alliances and preparations for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.

Nitin Nabin reportedly met Nishad Party chief Sanjay Nishad, Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) president Om Prakash Rajbhar, Uttar Pradesh minister Ashish Patel, and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) General Secretary Trilok Tyagi.

According to sources in BJP, he spent around 10 minutes with each leader and heard their suggestions on organisational and electoral matters.

During the meeting, the leaders of the allies presented their suggestions. According to sources, Nitin Nabin said that the BJP and its allies would prioritize strongest and winning candidates in an effort to secure victory in the 2027 Assembly elections.

The BJP leadership believes that in view of the 2027 elections, the organization will be further strengthened down to the booth level and the election strategy will be finalized by establishing better coordination with all NDA allies.

Soon after the meeting Natin Nabin met the media persons and said there was no discussions on seat sharing with allies namely Nishad, Rajbhar and Patel.

He added that the talks centred on strategies for ensuring the NDA’s victory in the next Assembly election.

The BJP leadership believes that, with an eye on the 2027 polls, the party organisation needs to be strengthened down to the booth level, while closer coordination with NDA partners will be crucial in finalising the alliance’s election strategy.

Later in the day, BJP leader Aparna Yadav also met Nabin. During the meeting, he expressed condolences on the death of her husband, Prateek Yadav.

The BJP President met with former state presidents of the BJP and discussed in detail the organization’s experiences, organizational strength, and preparations for the 2027 assembly elections.

He reviewed the political landscape of Uttar Pradesh and discussed caste equations and electoral dynamics.
