Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday the 16th of June 2026 took part in the main high-level working session themed, “Forging New Partnerships and Rebuilding International Solidarity” at the G7 Summit in Evian, France.

The core session was where all the G7 nation leaders were seen along with partner countries including India with representatives from the World Bank and the African Development Bank.

This year G7 is hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.

Earlier the Prime Minister arrived in Evian on a two-day visit to participate in the summit, which got underway yesterday.

This G7 Summit holds immense strategic significance for India, as the Prime Minister will strongly amplify the voice and concerns of the Global South on the world stage.

India’s regular participation in the Summit underscores its growing role in addressing key global challenges and contributing to global efforts on peace, security, sustainable development, and economic growth.

On the sidelines of the Summit, the Prime Minister has a packed diplomatic schedule.

He is scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, United Kingdom Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Later tonight, he will attend a gala dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron.

A major focus of the Prime Minister’s engagements at the Summit will be his meeting with US President Donald Trump tomorrow.

The two leaders are expected to hold wide-ranging discussions on bilateral cooperation across sectors, while also deliberating on pressing regional and global issues of mutual interest.
