The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast an orange color warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand for Tuesday the 28th of July 2026.
Similar weather conditions are likely to prevail over Coastal Karnataka, Madhya Maharashtra, South Interior Karnataka and Vidarbha till tomorrow.
The IMD has predicted heavy rainfall over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Kerala, Mahe, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Pradesh, North Interior Karnataka and Telangana till 31st of this month.
IMD has also forecast heavy rainfall conditions over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till 2nd of the next month.
The Met Department said that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely to prevail over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Telangana during the next two to three days.
Similar weather conditions are expected over Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh till 2nd of the next month. Meanwhile, hot and humid weather conditions are expected to prevail at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh till tomorrow.
