There is no news regarding fate of 22 passengers on a twin-engine plane which went down in the mountainous district of Nepal on Sunday morning, the 29th of May 2022.
Late in the evening a spokesperson of the Nepal Army said they would resume search and rescue operations on Monday morning as bad weather prevented any movement of search parties in darkness.
The ill-fated passenger plane belonged to Tara Air of Nepal. There were four Indians and two Germans apart from 16 other persons on the passenger list.
On Sunday morning, Tara Air’s 9 NAET twin-engine aircraft flying from Pokhara to Jomsom at 9.55am, lost contact with the ATC tower after reaching the Lete area of Mustang, said airport authorities.
Last reported altitude of the place was at 12,825 ft according to the details logged by ATC radar.
“The aircraft was seen over the sky of Jomsom in Mustang and then had diverted to Mt. Dhaulagiri after which it lost contact,” Chief District Officer Netra Prasad Sharma said.
According to authorities, the aircraft is suspected to have crashed in the Titi area of Lete in Mustang District
