India has called for dismantling of terrorist ecosystem on global scale for the sake of world peace.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated this while addressing the 26th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) held in Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday the First of September 2026.
The PM called upon all member countries of the SCO to dismantle the entire ecosystem of terror financing, recruitment, radicalisation and safe havens. He said that there can be no place for double standards on terrorism.
Modi expressed concern over the ongoing conflicts in different parts of the world while adding that wars and conflicts are not a solution to any problem and all disputes should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy.
In his address at the SCO Summit, Modi said that India is in support to all efforts that connect markets, facilitate trade and open new avenues for development. However, he stressed that such efforts must fully respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries.
India had proposed the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Civilisation Dialogue Forum last year. Modi added this its first session will be held later this year in India.
