Achieving a new landmark, the DRDO has handed over the Final Operational Clearance (FOC) certificate of the Indigenous ‘Netra’ Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system to the Indian Air Force (IAF).
In an official function held in Bengaluru on Thursday the 25th of June 2026, the Defence Research & Development Organisation completed the process that began in 2017 when IAF was given the initial permission to operate made-in-India AEWC.
NETRA was successfully used with outstanding results during Balakot strike and Operation Sindoor.
