An earthquake of magnitude 2.3 hit near the National Capital on Saturday the 15th of June 2024.

Epicentre was located at Haryana’s Jhajjar, a place just 70 kms from Delhi.

The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said the exact epicentre of the earthquake was located at Latitude 28.70 N and Longitude 76.66 E and a depth of 5 kilometres.
“EQ of M: 2.3, On: 15/06/2024 16:53:05 IST, Lat: 28.70 N, Long: 76.66 E, Depth: 5 Km, Location: Jhajjar, Haryana,” the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) said.

Till late evening the district administration had not reported any damage of property or loss of life due to earthquake tremors.
