For the first time ever in Indian history air travel comes to dead stop.
All international & domestic air travel is being stopped as an extreme measure that comes into force to contain spread of COVID-19 virus otherwise known as CoronaVirus.
This was officially announced by the Central Government earlier today on Monday, 23-March-2020.
Operations of all domestic commercial airlines will come to halt with effective from the mid night 23.59 IST hours on Tuesday i.e. 24-March-2020.
International passenger air travel is already halted and enforced in India.
The air restrictions will not apply to flights carrying cargo.
Airlines have to plan operations so as to land at their destination before 2359 hours Tuesday midnight on 24th March.
