Its 100 times more powerful than Hubble. And all astronomers have been waiting for a long time – the formal launch of the James Webb Telescope.
Thirty two years after Hubble was placed in the high space, the new kid on the block – the J Webb Telescope was successfully carted to about 1300 kilometers into the space by the French and European Space Agency’s Ariane rocket on Saturday the 25th December 2021 and smoothly, quietly jettisoned into the space.
The main object of Webb Telescope is to see beyond the range of Hubble and start looking to that prime question – how and from where did the first light emerged – that is, if can find out – how and from where the life began in the universe.
Hubble could not do it.
Lets see if that question can be answered by the NASA’s James Webb Telescope.
Hubble is circulating the Earth from a height from 330 miles. James Webb will be going up to 1.6 million miles into the space to clicks all those unseen pics – both in visual and infrared.
It is indeed has been an revolutionary day for the world of astronomy.
