While on an official visit to Germany to take part in the Munich Security Conference (MSC), the External Affairs Minister Dr Jaishankar met his counterparts from at least four countries.

On Saturday the 15th of February 2025, Jaishankar met the Federal Chancellor and Foreign Minister of Austria Alexander Schallenberg, FM Emil Hurezeanu of Romania, FM Lars Rasmussen of Denmark, FM Gerardo Werthein of Argentina and Norwegian Finance Minister Jens Stoltenberg, on the sidelines of the MSC.

In a social media twitter post in on digital platform X, the EAM posted:

“Delighted to meet with Federal Chancellor and FM @a_schallenberg Alexander Schallenberg of Austria.

“His insights on the region are always valuable.”

The Austrian FM Schallenberg posted on X:

“Always a delight to meet my dear colleague @DrSJaishankar and discuss how to jointly tackle global challenges. Proud to see Austrian-Indian relations at an all-time high!”

The EAM posted on his meeting with the Foreign Minister of Romania:

“Welcomed the meeting with FM @emilhurezeanu Emil Hurezeanu of Romania.

“Discussed advancing our bilateral cooperation in trade, connectivity, and mobility.”

During his meeting with the FM of Denmark, the two discussed the challenges of European security.

“Glad to catch up with FM @larsloekke Lars Løkke Rasmussen of Denmark.

“Discussed the complex challenges of European security.”

On his meeting with the FM of Argentina, he posted:

“A good meeting with Foreign and Trade Minister Gerardo Werthein of Argentina.

“Discussed further expansion in our trade and investment. Shared perspectives on global affairs.”

He met with Jens Stoltenberg, Norwegian Finance Minister and incoming chair of the Munich Security Conference:

“Started the day today meeting Norwegian Finance Minister and incoming chair of @MunSecConf @jensstoltenberg Jens Stoltenberg.

“A useful exchange on the evolving global security architecture.”
