EAM Jaishankar was candid in his observations in the Parliament on Wednesday the 6th of April 2022 while replying to the debate on Ukraine conflict.

He reiterated that India is outrightly against the Russia-Ukraine conflict, but if forced to choose the side, Delhi will always be with peace and non-violent closure of the dispute.

Jaishankar said all members would agree that India’s approach should be guided by its national beliefs and values, national interest and by its national strategy.

The minister was replying at the end of debate held under rule193  of ‘the conduct of business rules of the Lok Sabha’ which does not require voting.
