Day is not far when Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is most likely to be re-elected as MLA thus fulfilling constitutional obligation well within six months of being sworn-in as CM.
On Monday the 9th of May 2022 he filed his nomination as the BJP candidate from Champawat assembly seat where a bypoll will be held on May 31.
This seat was vacated by Mr Kailash Gehtori, MLA, to facilitate Pushkar Dahmi to formally re-enter the state Assembly.
Dhami was made the chief minister for the second consecutive term despite losing from Khatima in the recently concluded state elections.
The result of the bypoll will be announced on June 3.
