In view of the rapidly deteriorating security situation in Ukraine, including attacks in the western parts of the country, India decided to relocate its Embassy to Poland.
According to a release issued on Sunday the 13th of March 2022 by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) this relocation of its diplomatic mission to Poland is a temporary measure.
The situation will be reassessed in the light of further developments, the release added.
Under Operation Ganga mission, the Indian government has successfully evacuated all Indian nationals mostly students studying medicine in various Ukrainian universities. Over 22,000 Indian nationals moved out of Ukraine since the outbreak of war with Russia.
