Tablighi Jamaat (TJ) is now the biggest headache of law enforcing authorities particularly in as many as 17 states across India.

Earlier on Sunday, 05 April 2020, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur issued a final warning to hiding Tablighi Jamaat members to come out of their hideouts by 5 pm or face dire consequences.

“Get yourself medically checked for COVID19 virus’’, CM Himachal Pradesh is reported to have said while adding that any delay in this regard would be disastrous.

It is now an established fact that 30 per cent of positive cases affected by CoronaVirus in India were traced to a sect of Islamic preachers known as Tablighi Jamaat of the Markazi Masjid located at the Nizamuddin West in Delhi.

Trouble started after followers of this sect held an alleged unauthorised three-day religious meeting at the TJ’s Markez from 13 March 2020.

More than 3,000 TJs took part in this meeting. The place where they collected is a cramped seven storey headquarter at the Delhi’s Nizamuddin West area.

This Markaz building also acts as a transit hostel for TJs and is located just few meters away from the final resting place and holy shrine of Sufi saint Hazart Nizamuddin Auliya.

What raised alarm bells within the Home Ministry was that hundreds of tourists holding passports of other Islamic countries took part in this controversial congregation.

As a direct result of this unauthorized act, North Block has now blacklisted about 1000 tourists visa holders from Indonesia. They will not be allowed to enter India from now onwards.

Control Room established in Home Ministry’s North Block is closely monitoring the situation. Police authorities across the country have been authorised to trace these missing Tablighi Jamaat’s by chasing their cell phone signals.

“In the eyes of experts and acknowledged universally, India had a firm grip on the pandemic situation till this ‘TJ time bomb’ incident”, stated a senior Health Ministry official who is part of the task force dealing with pandemic CoronaVirus outbreak.
