In a strongly worded statement issued by Randhir Jaiswal, Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) on Pakistan army chief’s comments on Kashmir stated that Pakistan should know that “only relationship” with Kashmir is to vacate the illegally occupied territories in the POK area.

Jaiswal was making this statement during his weekly presser on Thursday the 17th of April 2025 in response to Pak’s army chief General Asim Munir who had described Kashmir as Pakistan’s “jugular vein”.

Randhir Jaiswal added that “ how can anything foreign be in a jugular vein? This is a union territory of India. Its only relationship with Pakistan is the vacation of illegally occupied territories by that country.”

It may be recalled that Munir had issued his anti-India statement while addressing a gathering of Pakistani diaspora at a recent event.

Munir had allegedly stated that – “You (pakistan’s diaspora) should definitely tell Pakistan’s story to your children. Our forefathers thought that we are different from the Hindus in every aspect of life. Our religions, our customs, traditions, thoughts and ambitions are different. That was the foundation of the two-nation theory that was laid.”

Speaking about Kashmir, Munir said, “Our stance is absolutely clear, it was our jugular vein, it will be our jugular vein, we will not forget it. We will not leave our Kashmiri brothers in their heroic struggle.”

After this Munir had to now face Randhir Jaiswal wrath.
