The first budget of the Narendra Modi government’s third term will be formally presented on 23rd of July 2024.
Giving details, the Parliamentary Affairs minister Kiren Rijuju announced on Saturday the 6th of July that the budget session will be be held from July 22nd to August 12th.
This will be first full session of Parliament after the recently concluded 18th General Elections.
It may be recalled that new Lok Sabha members took oath in the first session held between June 24th and July 2nd.
Rijiju said – the President of India, on the recommendation of Government of India, has approved the proposal for summoning of both the Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session, 2024 from 22nd July, 2024 to 12 August, 2024 (Subject to exigencies of Parliamentary Business). Union Budget for FY 2024-25 will be presented in Lok Sabha on 23 July, 2024.”
