For just about 10 hours, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Kyiv on Friday the 23rd of August 2024.
Once there he met president Zelenskyy of Ukraine and held delegation level talks.
Modi on Friday greeted Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Ukrainian capital city Kyiv with his trademark hug.
Both leaders honoured the Memory of Children at the Martyrologist Expositin at the Ukraine National Museum in Kyiv.
After paying floral tributes at the Mahatma Gandhi memorial the Prime Minister held a separate one-to-one meeting with Mr Zelenskyy just before the official delegation level talks
Earlier in the day, on his arrival at the Hyatt Hotel in Kyiv, Modi received a warm welcome from the local Indian community in Ukraine including many Indian students who are still continuing their studies in that county.
In a social media twitter message posted on ‘X’, the Prime Minister stated – “Reached Kyiv earlier this morning. The Indian community accorded a very warm welcome.”
Meanwhile, one of the highlights of the visit will be the presentation of the BHISHM Cube, a revolutionary mobile hospital designed for disaster management.
It may be recalled that last week on Saturday the 17th of August 2024, IAF with Army jointly carried out a first-of-its-kind precise para-drop operation of the Aarogya Maitri Health Cube at a high-altitude area close to 15,000 feet.
These critical trauma care cubes have been indigenously developed under Project BHISHM (Bharat Health Initiative for Sahyog Hita and Maitri), an official statement said on Saturday.
The IAF utilised its advanced tactical transport aircraft C-130J Super Hercules, to airlift and precisely para-drop the cube.
