While giving his seal of approval, personally, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi flew twin-seater version of Tejas fighter aircraft on Saturday the 25th of November 2023. Modi was a day’s visit to Bengaluru based Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) the manufacturer of Tejas. The Indian Air Force (IAF)  has placed an order of different variants of 324 Tejas to HAL.

In his tweet on X, Modi said :

Successfully completed a sortie on the Tejas. The experience was incredibly enriching, significantly bolstering my confidence in our country’s indigenous capabilities, and leaving me with a renewed sense of pride and optimism about our national potential.
