India has notified the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) that it has till date dispatched over 90 tonnes of humanitarian assistance to the Ukrainian conflict zone which also covers its neighboring countries.
The humanitarian aid mainly includes medicines and essential relief material, and is in the process of sending more such supplies stated the India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, TS Tirumurti.
India has also voiced its concern over the worsening security situation in the conflict zone and the worsening humanitarian problem in Ukraine.
T S Trimurti also reiterated India’s call for an immediate end to hostilities and return to the path of dialogue and diplomacy.
It may be recalled that since the Russian-Ukraine hostilities India has ensured the safe return of about 22,500 Indians from Ukraine under Operation Ganga.
