Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday the23rd of March 2022 said he is in no mood to resign before the vote of no-confidence.
Speaking to reporters in Islamabad, Mr Imran Khan said the opposition have laid all of their cards, but the no-confidence motion against him would not be successful.
Khan also denied to resign under any pressure. “I will not resign under any circumstances. I will play till the last ball and I will surprise them a day before, as they are still under pressure,” Geo News quoted him as saying.
Pakistan National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser has summoned the session for the no-confidence motion on March 25.
Khan said he would not compromise on corruption under any circumstances and also accused the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz ( PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) of doing politics of “corruption”.
“No one should be under the false impression that I will sit at home. I will not resign, and why should I ? Should I resign due to the pressure from thieves?,” he added.
