The Deep Depression which lay cantered over northwest & adjoining northeast Bay of Bengal on Friday the 19th of August 2022 moved towards west north-west of India and around midnight crossed into West Bengal and adjoining North Odisha coasts between Balasore and Sagar Islands.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) in a bulletin said, this depression  would continue to move west-north westwards direction across West Bengal, north Odisha and Jharkhand towards north Chhattisgarh during the next 24 hours. Thereafter it was likely to gradually weaken.
