In another major decision taken by the Union Cabinet in its meeting held on 4th of Jaunary 2023, the Greenfield International Airport Mopa, Goa will now be known as the ‘Manohar International Airport – Mopa, Goa’, as a mark of tribute to Late Shri Manohar Parrikar, Ex-Defence Minister and Four-time Goa Chief Minister.

To fulfil the cherished aspirations of the people of the State of Goa, Chief Minister of Goa had conveyed to the central government an unanimous decision of the the Goa’s Cabinet to change the to name the Greenfield International Airport, Mopa, Goa as ‘Manohar International Airport – Mopa, Goa’.

It may be recalled that this Greenfield Airport at Mopa, Goa was inaugurated by Narendra Modi in December, 2022.
