Finally he has blinked.
“..do what needs to be done…”, says US President Donald Trump in his latest tweet.
On Monday, 23rd November 2020 General Services Administrator (GSA) in a letter to US president-elect Joe Biden begin asked officials to begin the transition process.
This came after the head of the US federal agency responsible for this said she would provide him (Joe Biden) the necessary government resources to move in to the White House.
Trump, however, insisted that he would “continue to fight and will prevail”.
Trump, who lost the November 3rd presidential elections to Biden and his Indian-origin running mate Kamala Harris, has yet not conceded.
Mr Trumph’s campaign has filed a number of lawsuits in many US states to apparently not to declare the final results while alleging “voter fraud and electoral malpractice”. None of which is yet to be proved.
Trump’s tweets came hours after General Services Administrator Emily Murphy wrote a letter to President-elect Biden that the Trump administration is ready to begin the formal transition process.
