The Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have a packed schedule during his twin state visits to United Stares and Egypt beginning from 21st June till 25th June, 2023.

During his visit to the US from 21-23 June, news in the air suggests that a landmark deal to co-produce the engine for LCA Mark-II will be realised with Geneal Electric Company besides many other defence deals including Guardian drones for Indian Navy’s requirements.

Addressing a special media briefing on Monday the 19th of June, the Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra said one of the key components during prime minister’s visit to America will be stepping up defence cooperation between the two countries.

For three days  – from 21st till 23rd June, when Narendra Modi will be in the US, he will take part in the Yoga programme at the headquarters of the United Nations in New York and will deliver a speech at the US Congress in a joint sitting of Senate and the House.

The Prime Minister will also address the Indian diaspora at the Kennedy Centre and will meet various CEOs of the top American firms.

On his way back to India, the Prime Minister will go to Egypt from June 24-25 at the invitation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during which he is also scheduled to visit 11th Century mosque Al-Hakim, which was refurbished and renovated by the Bohra community.

PM Modi is visiting Egypt at the invitation of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who had been Chief Guest at India’s Republic Day celebrations earlier this year.

The PM will arrive at Cairo sometime in the afternoon on 24th of June from America.
