The Amarnath Yatra was temporarily suspended from the Pahalgam and Baltal routes on Tuesday morning the 5th of July 2022 due to rains and landslides.
The 43-day pilgrimage began last week is being revived after a gap of two years of Covid lockdowns.
Officials said no pilgrim was allowed to move towards the holy cave from the base camp of Nunwan in Pahalgam and Baltal in Ganderbal.
Officials said around 71,000 pilgrims have paid obeisance at the shrine since June 30, the first day of Yatra.
The pilgrimage is set to end on August 11.
Meanwhile, moderate rain occurred at many places in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. The weather department predicted that intermittent light to moderate rains were likely at many places of Jammu and Kashmir in the next 24-36 hours.
The weather is expected to be mostly cloudy along the pilgrimage route on Tuesday, an independent weather forecaster said.
